RBI ASSISTANT 2014 EXAM ANALYSIS: 23/09/2014
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducted Online Examination, for the recruitment of RBI Assistant 2014, across the country on September 23, 2014.
There were 200 questions in the paper - Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English Language and Computer Knowledge. Each question had 5 options. There was negative marking of one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question for all the sections.

Reasoning : The Reasoning Section was very Easy. The questions were asked of the standard IBPS pattern.
1.Circular Arrangement - 5 - Very easy
2.Puzzle (days n subjects handled) - 5 - Very easy
3.Inequality - 5 - Very easy
4.Syllogism - 5 - Very easy
5.Blood relation - 2 - Very easy
6.Data sufficiency - 5 - Moderate
7.Series (no, symbols, vowels etc) - 5 - Very easy
8.Rest questions from - Misc section
9.English Language - The English Section was very easy.
10.Passage and Close passage (story based) - 25
11.spelling error - 5 - very easy
12.sentence correction - 5 - easy
13.Para jumble (story based) - 5 - very easy
Quantitative Aptitude :
The details of the section are as follows:
1.5 - DI - Very Easy
2.10 - Simplification - Easy
3.5 - Series - Easy
4.20 - MISC - (SI, CI, Time n work, time n distance, boats and streams, geometry, Ration n proportions, Partnership) - Moderate
General Awareness:
Almost equal number of questions were asked from Banking & General Awareness topics. The latter included books & authors, currencies of countries, forest & river names, etc.
You guys will be glad to know that almost 75% questions asked in the exam were from the GK Power Capsule 2014.
Computer Knowledge :
Out of the the total questions, 20 - 25 - easy and rest questions requires more time n they were bit tricky. The main areas from which questions were asked are: Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Networking, Basic Hardware and Software.
