Position For : Fabrication Engineer
Responsibilities
- Sort drawings of sheet metal parts based on machine capability/schedule to decide whether the parts are to be fabricated in house OR outsourced after receipt of design drawings.
- Interpret and convert all types of design drawings (CAD) into fabrication data/drawings/instruction (CAM) inclusive of flatpattern drawing c/w bending instructions for machine operator execution
- Create machine programs from design drawings (CAD) for CNC sheet metal fabrication machine with effectiveness & efficiency
- Perform effective nesting to ensure wastage <15%.
- Ensure correct assignment of tooling for shearing/punching/bending process
- Resolve quality issues related to sheet metal fabrication works.
- Upgrade machine tooling appropriately to ensure maximum utilization of machine capability
- Ensure effective planning of material usage, machine schedule & capacity.
- Provide estimation of machine assignment hours and tooling process for costing purposes.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/CAD/CAM Engineering
- Experienced user of AMADA AP100, Sheetwork, Dr ABE
- Familiar with AMADA sheet metal fabrication machine
- Minimum 3 years’ of relevant working experience
- Preference will be given to those able to operate 2D/3D CAD e.g. AUTOCAD, NX, ProE, Autodesk Inventor.
- Self-motivated, proactive, independent and responsible
- Willing work at Sungai Buloh
